What if...

Here you are again. The sun came back up and you still feel like there is no tomorrow because your not living in the hope of today. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't promised and today is all you have. Think for one second; the what if question. Lets explore your mind for one moment and think about today. What if this was your last day on this planet? What would you do? Where would you go? Who would you see? If you knew you only had 24 hours to live what would you do? Would you cry, would you criticize yourself or would you try to make it your best day ever? That anger you once had towards a friend, the debt you have, the house you never had, the car you never had or all the things you longed for or have been upset about would no longer matter. You would finally be free to be you and accept that your final moment has come and the veil can come off. 
Here is what my last 24 hours would be. I would forgive everyone who has ever harmed me intentionally or unintentionally and I would spend it with the most important people in my life. I would forgive myself for all the wrongs I have ever done. I would extend love, one last smile, dance my heart away, write one last poem, help as many people as I could to love themselves and to extend love to others,  draw, sculpt or paint my one last creation, go to six flags and be a kid, see a baby smile and hear its laughter, take a walk in the woods, listen to the angelic sounds of the wind blowing through the trees, sit on a beach one last time and spend my last 24 hours with my children and the man I love. See what mattered yesterday no longer matters in the future because today is all that is promised. I know we all have responsibilities and need to be prepared for the possibility of living until we are 90 years old but we also need to be prepared with a heart of joy and love for today! Reclaim you today and rejoice in the small things and don't be so hard on yourself.  Try to be the best you for you! You are the only one who knows your path so live it in gratitude and with a hopeful heart... Smile, shine and be that bright sun light in your own eyes and in others... today is promised so promise yourself to enjoy every moment!
