I still love my addict son

Loving your child addict and watching the destruction is causes to them and yourself is one of the hardest things a parent can do in this life. You fight to hold on to who you once knew... the baby who needed you. You reach out for people to help, the addict reaches out for help in a system that fails them. Don't people understand that it can happen to anyone or anyone's family. Everyone needs support and everyone needs to feel and most the time an addict is numbing himself or herself from the inner turmoil that is surrounding their soul. Hell know the addict never wanted to lose control... The addict tried it a few times and before they knew it the drug takes control over every thought and decision. Addiction rewires the brain receptors for dophamine production. Remember before you judge... pray.... before you dont understand....ask for wisdom...before you think hope is lost...bring hope to another....
